The Tilt 360 Leadership Predictor

We are very excited to offer a new and unique 360 Leadership Assessment for our clients, called the Tilt 360 Leadership Predictor.  It is based on the philosophy of Transcendent Leadership - one that requies Leadership of Self as the primary mechanism for effective leadership.  As a strength-based predictor, it looks at 12 personality characteristics of Transcendent Leaders, including humanity, wisdom, courage and resilience.  It is the first of its kind, simple to use, and aimed at high potential leaders and executives who want to promote team level climate, innovation and creativity with organizations.

Developed by Pam, Boney, PCC, the Tilt model is based on a basic philosophy that believes that everyone has inherent, natural strengths, and dormant strengths.  In order to be an effective leader in today's fast paced global market, leaders need to have mastered or awareness of their strengths, and be constantly evolving and developing to be the best leader they can be. This takes Leadership of Self and sometimes can be challegning when you don't know where to look.  The Tilt 360 model gives us a quick snapshot in an easy to read model that informs us of our areas of Tilt - and those areas where we need to pay attention to grow as Transcendent Leaders.

We'll be talking more about the need of Transcendent Leadership in future blogs - stay tuned!

What is Empathetic Leadership?

You may have heard the terms Empathy, Compassion, and Resilience used in reference to communication, conflct resolution and leadership development training.  These are some of the new buzz words used by innovative trainers, coaches and organizational development professionals on the cutting edge of Learning & Development.  These words are becoming increasingly important when we talk about Leadership.  For these ideals are not easily attainable in a climate which does not promote them.  It is nearly impossible for an individual, team or culture to be empathetic, compassionate or resilient if the enviornment does not support it.  And this takes real Leadership.

An Empathetic Leader knows this intuitively.  They understand the need to set the tone so employees feel engaged, valued and guided towards being the best employees they can be.  This takes real dedication and "self-leadership" on the behalf of senior managers and executives who hold the key to setting the tone within their organization.  If a leader does not have the tools of self-understanding, including informed intuition, knowledge, and emotional intelligence to help guide his decisions and actions, then he cannot achieve this most noble of causes.  It is up to the leaders within the organization to empower their employees, managers and executives in becoming empathetic leaders.

Welcome!

We are delighted to have you join us here for our official launch of The Bug In Your Ear.  Don't be fooled by the light, playful nature of our name.  Here at The Bug, we mean business. We specialize in coaching leaders towards empathetic leadership; not a very light matter indeed, as we truly believe that this type of leadership is necessary in the global business world today.  Without it, companies are set to carry out "business as usual" with less than mediocre results as  can be seen in the current economic climate.  What is required is a paradigm shift in the business world where innovation, creativity and collaboration are top values promoted from very top levels of executives.  There needs to be an embrace of a new way of thinking and leading, which will have a direct impact on not only the organization, but the communities they touch.  We hope to offer our insights and philosophies as well as practical techniques and processes to help pave the way for this new paradigm shift to occur.
